Stranger at Home
Virtual Reality Graphic Novel
Stranger at Home deals with the topic flight and migration as it became more and more relevant in Austria and whole Europe in recent years. Refugees are not only forced to leave their home but also have to find a new home in a foreign country, Austria for example. The project is realized as a story drawn as illustrated 360 degree scenes. The story is sectioned in two parts, the first part deals with flight, while the second part shows the struggles that a migrant can have, when she/he is leaving her/his home country and how the past is still relevant in her/his present live. Metaphoric illustrations are underlining the struggle of people who are leaving their homeland and the fragility of a nation.
