Stranger at Home
Virtual Reality Graphic Novel
Stranger at Home deals with the topic refuge and migration as it became more and more relevant in Austria and Europe in recent years. Refugees are not only forced to leave their homes but also have to find a new home in a foreign country, Austria for example. The project is realized as a story drawn as illustrated 360-degree scenes. The first part of the narration deals with flight, while the second part shows the struggles that a migrant can have when she/he is leaving her/his home country and how the past is still relevant in her/his present life. Metaphoric illustrations are underlining the struggle of people who are leaving their homeland and the fragility of a nation.
